Se vende en forma de polvo y como ra\u00edz fresca en los mercados de alimentos asi\u00e1ticos y en algunos supermercados. Ambas formas se pueden utilizar para cocinar y para hacer t\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-antiinflamatorio\">Antiinflamatorio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Combinado con la ra\u00edz de jengibre para darle sabor a un t\u00e9, sus beneficios antiinflamatorios ocurren cuando se usa con el tiempo. El ingrediente activo, la curcumina, es su principal sustancia antiinflamatoria. La c\u00farcuma y la curcumina tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n disponibles en c\u00e1psulas, como polvo y como extracto l\u00edquido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La c\u00farcuma y su curcumina qu\u00edmica antiinflamatoria requieren pimienta negra o piperina, un componente de la pimienta negra responsable de su sabor picante, para ser absorbido por el cuerpo (Hewling &amp; Kalman, 2017).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-protege-el-cerebro-y-el-higado\">Protege el cerebro y el h\u00edgado<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La ra\u00edz de c\u00farcuma protege el cerebro y puede prevenir el Alzheimer y el Parkinson (Mishra &amp; Palanivelu, 2008). En algunos casos (escasos) uso prolongado de la c\u00farcuma puede causar malestar estomacal o acidez estomacal. Cuando se usan ciertos medicamentos como digoxina o fenito\u00edna, se recomienda limitar la pimienta negra a menos de 1 cucharadita al d\u00eda. Puedes obtener los beneficios de la c\u00farcuma bebiendo leche dorada o t\u00e9 chai, una bebida perfecta para estimular el cerebro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-chai-de-curcuma-rooibos-sin-cafeina\">Chai de C\u00farcuma-Rooibos (Sin cafe\u00edna)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Receta de Marlene Bremner<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ingredientes\">Ingredientes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>5 tazas de agua<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 pulgadas de jengibre fresco, picado en trozos grandes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 pulgadas de c\u00farcuma fresca, picada en trozos grandes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cucharada de semillas de cardamomo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cucharadita de clavo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd cucharadita de pimienta negra entera<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 rama de canela<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1-2 cucharadas de t\u00e9 Rooibos (arbusto rojo) o al gusto<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 taza de leche (coco, almendra, arroz u otro)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cucharadita de extracto de vainilla<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cucharadita de aceite de coco extra virgen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Endulzante de elecci\u00f3n (miel, stevia o agave)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-direcciones\">Direcciones<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Coloca el agua, el jengibre y la c\u00farcuma en una olla mediana y deja hervir. Baja el fuego a flama media y cocina a fuego lento durante 5 minutos. Agrega el cardamomo, los clavos, la pimienta negra y la canela y cocina a fuego lento durante otros 15 minutos.<br>Cuela el l\u00edquido en un taz\u00f3n grande, reservando las especias y las ra\u00edces para usarlas en otra tanda de chai. Agrega el t\u00e9 Rooibos al taz\u00f3n y cubre, dejando reposar durante 5 a 10 minutos.<br>Vuelve a colar el t\u00e9 en la tetera.
